This piece always fills me with hope and light. I've been wanting to work on this movement again ever since I last performed it on my Masters recital in 2007, but was initially reluctant to do so because I have switched to an instrument without a low A. I used to think that these works should be performed in their original key, but the music of Bach is so well crafted that it can be played in any key. This performance is therefore transposed up a half-step from G Major to Ab. I hope you enjoy it!
