In 1996, Sega's legendary AM2 studio released what may be the most disliked game in their catalog: Sonic the Fighters. Often derided by both Sonic and fighting game fans, this game has built its own community on the outskirts of the FGC. This is that community's story. This video started as a freelance article pitch years ago, but I finally was able to get it together this year thanks to the support I was able to find with my Melee videos. I hope those who have come to my channel for Melee will be open to learning about another game where funny cartoon characters punch each other.
