Jayhawk Model Masters 2024 Annual Float Fly

This is one of most fun events of the Lawrence, Ks RC Flying club Jayhawk Model Masters. Flying off water is always dicey and a freaking HOOT of a good time! It takes place on third or fourth Saturday in June and this years turn out was pretty good. George was our Retrieval boat captain and I got to help him retrieve a few birds and that was almost as much fun as flying off the lake. Didn't get as much video as I usually like to but I was busy flying, spotting and retrieving downed birds as it was very windy and a real challenge keeping the birds from flipping over in the water(yes, I flipped mine like 3-times but never required the retrieval boat). If you like RC airplanes and you live in this part of the country then you should plan on attending next years event with your RC float plane or just come out and watch. Oh, and the lunch deal was awesome this year and was very tasty!
