TUGS - Munitions | 15 Minute & 20 Minute Cut Differences

Happy 33rd anniversary to the first ever television broadcast of TUGS! In November of 1988, Clearwater Features released two VHS tapes each containing two episodes of the series TUGS, which at the time was still in production. The episodes on these tapes featured a 20 minute runtime, which is what was originally intended for the series. The following year, these episodes were put to air on television, starting with "Sunshine" on April 4th, 1989. However, the televised versions were aired with the runtime cut down from 20 minutes to 15. Continuity was lost, and the deleted footage for the remaining episodes not released in the year prior is still lost to this day. The 15 minute versions of these four VHS released episodes have become incredibly hard to find, as they were never sold - and only aired once in the UK. I had nothing to do a few days ago, and I suddenly remembered that a much higher quality rip of the 15 minute Munitions had been uploaded a few weeks ago by TigerV. I decided to throw together this quick video demonstrating what was altered or removed when the episode came to air, compared to its VHS counterpart. I was heavily inspired by TheStarSwitcher to make this video! This was very fun to make. I hope you all enjoy this video too - you might even find some things you didn't know about!
