The Citation Mustang is one of the best single-pilot very light jets in the world, produced between 2006 and 2017 by Cessna. With a total of 479 aircraft built, it is a sophisticated jet with an excellent fit and finish, a friendly pilot interface, on-time performance, and a spacious and comfortable cabin. Like many other light jets, the Mustang is approved for single-pilot operation, and pilots are required to have a type rating to fly the Mustang. However, this success was short and Cessna ended production of the design in May 2017 due to a lack of customer demand for the aircraft as a result of competition from the company's own Cessna Citation M2.
