Sammy (or some may know her as Layla Zee Susan) is a 27 year old drag queen from Cornwall. Growing up in this rural area can be difficult as it is, but Sammy has found his path with pride. Layla is an idol of the local gay community, spreading joy and laughter with charismatic confidence! Now he is studying to be a teacher, aspiring to help children in each finding their happy way to adulthood. This may have been my favourite interview for the series so far. I feel totally blessed to have been welcomed into Sammy's home and shown some of the secret skills of this loving and colourful community! In this video I visited Sammy early in the morning, preparing for Falmouth Pride.
