Raybuck's 1953 Chevy Pickup

As a lot of you have seen over the past few years, we pulled a 1953 Chevy truck out of a yard where it had been sitting for 20+ years, stripped it down, and rebuilt it using all of the parts that we sell. The goal was to show how our aftermarket body panels fit up to an original body. Just like any other project, we had our share of problems, including fitment. Heck, we had problems just putting the original parts back on. It took us a good weekend to get the hood on and the whole front clip aligned! I found an original Chevrolet shop manual and it contained step-by-step instructions on how to mount and align the hood. I even wrote a blog article (https://raybuck.com/how-to-align-the-..., including pics, to help others avoid the frustration that we went through with the hood. Anyway, if you're building one of these trucks and have any questions, please feel free to post them here as we'd be happy to share our experience and knowledge. You can also check out the build page, that also includes a build sheet, here if you'd like to see more specifics https://raybuck.com/how-to-align-the-... If you are looking for someone who can pinstripe or do custom painting, and are within a reasonable drive of Somerset, PA, I highly, highly recommend Casey Kennell (http://www.thepaintchop.com/). He painted the Raybuck name on the doors of this truck. All of his painting is freehand (no stencils) and it's unbelievable. He made the lettering on the truck look faded and even continued some of the rust streaks through it. Lastly, you can find a lot of the parts that we sell for the 1st Series trucks at the following link. We're constantly adding new parts, so check back on a regular basis to see all the new stuff. https://raybuck.com/panels/chevrolet-...
