Had a slightly bad start, but at this point I'm extremely fed up with this monster on SA and I reached my goal of sub 4'50, so screw it. The matchup became very boring very quickly: stay near brute's paw and try to bait super roars. Your time is directly and almost entirely impacted by how many super roars he does, any other move is worse than a super roar. The damage counting can be optimized a bit and I have an idea for a completely different set that I can use that doesn't revolve around peak performance (please give me agi+ decos so I can get rid of the damn evade window D:). But honestly, I think I'm done with brute on SA for a while, if not entirely. It stopped being fun. In fact, SA itself feels a lot less fun in general given how we're very encouraged to either spam ZSD when we can or just triplock shit with power axe. There's a lot less emphasis on the tight iframing and committing playstyle that drew me to it in the first place. I'm getting more and more into CB for that savage axe gameplay, so my runs might shift into using more and more CB.
