It aims to preserve, promote, and exhibit folk, tribal, traditional, and contemporary art, all under one roof. JDCA is designed by the renowned architect B V Doshi , the only Indian recipient of the Pritzker Prize (the Nobel Prize of architecture). JD Centre of Art (JDCA) is being built on a one-acre site allotted by the Govt. of Odisha, located in Bhubaneswar, across the 2nd Cent. BC Khandagiri Caves. JDCA is a member of the International Council of Museum (ICOM), Asia-Europe Museum Network (ASEMUS) and the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC). Meet the Artist (MTA) is a permanent in-house programme of JDCA, where invited artists, craft persons or scholars through their illustrated presentations create an appreciation of all forms of visual art.
