Will it START & DRIVE? V12 Supercharged 2 Stroke Detroit Dump Truck SITTING for YEARS

In this video, I go back to the 12v71 V12 Detroit Diesel 2 Stroke powered Wabco Haulpak Dump Truck. I go through the motions after freeing up the injectors in an earlier video to see if I can get it to start and move after it has been retired from its duties in the quarry more than 20 years ago and left sitting in this paddock in regional Australia. This big V12 Detroit diesel is fitted with a mechanical roots style blower which can be seen on the top of the Detroit 2 stroke engine. In Australia, many folk would refer to a mechanically driven air blower device like this as a supercharger. In this application, its function however is not so much to force “boost” into the cylinder but to use the air pressure generated to help blow away exhaust gasses. These 2 stroke GM Diesels or Detroit Diesels can be found fitted to all types of heavy machinery, transport and marine applications over about a five decade period. Despite this, they are becoming less and less common and should be preserved where possible in my opinion, hence attempting to bring Wally Wabco back to life. Thanks very much for watching.
