Olomouc, Czechia: Trams and buses around Olomouc with guided depot visits on Friday 3rd May 2024

On Friday 3rd May 2024, we visited the City of Olomouc to film and photograph the municipal transport company, Dopravní podnik města Olomouce, a.s. (dpmo). We were assisted by very enthusiastic and professional members of the dpmo team, despite the fact that they were extremely busy preparing for their 125th anniversary open day on Wednesday 8th May 2024. Our thanks go to Anna Sykorova, Ivo Musil, Marek Talpa and Ladislav Netek who were our guides at both the main depot and parking yard in the centre of Olomouc and at the brand new depot at Jeremenkova, close to the city's main railway station at Fibichova. Without their friendly help and guidance, this would have just been a presentation covering buses and trams in operation around the city. As a result of their help, we managed to photograph every single tram in the fleet - 72 of them - and many additional buses that we had not previously filmed. We also learned that a further 9 new EVO-1 trams are on order for delivery in 2025 and these will oust the Skoda Astra/Inekon Trio fleet.
