Adjusting the pellets, for each shot automatically with Buster beagle injection moulding

This is a video explaining how the Arduino code adjust for the number of pellets to give the crucible each time. I’m using a light sensor at the moment that counts to stripes. But I’m thinking of switching to a magnetic strip linear counter. It might be a little bit more accurate. You can buy a magnetic magnet similar to that of a fridge magnet, and it has magnetic stripes on it, that a magnetic sensor would be able to tell the arduino. But the Gist of it is, I have a target injection depth that I’m aiming for. And I just the time in seconds if the depth is too short or too long. I need to change my code, so that I have a target number of seconds that would ideally be the perfect amount of time to fill my crucible.
