NFL player and Rhodes Scholar Myron Rolle addressed graduates at Monmouth University's January 2015 Commencement. Rolle is a former safety with the Tennessee Titans and Pittsburgh Steelers. Following his career in football, Rolle has gone on to found an educational childhood anti-obesity program for Native Americans and is currently in his second year of medical school at Florida State University. A Rhodes scholar, Rolle is also the co-founder of the Emerging Scholars Project, a program that helps underrepresented college students become viable candidates for national fellowship opportunities.
