Pro Bono Representation of Youth in Immigration Court: Overview of Agency Policy/Practical Guidance

This webinar provided an overview of agency guidance on children’s cases in immigration court. This presentation is geared toward attorneys interested in taking on a pro bono immigration case, practitioners working on a pro bono case, and practitioners new to children’s immigration law. Specifically, the webinar covered an overview of two agency memoranda issued by the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR), the agency that oversees immigration courts, on guidance for children’s cases in immigration court and pro bono services. The webinar also included a panel discussion by attorneys in the field to share their experience with juvenile dockets and ideas to effectively advocate for children in immigration court proceedings.
