As young members of the pod it is their job to protect their magical Mako Island from trespassers. But on the night of a full moon, the mischievous mermaids neglect their duties. 16-year old land-dweller, ZAC, enters the Moon Pool and forms a special connection with Mako – he is granted a fish-like tail and amazing powers. Threatened by his merman powers, the pod are forced to leave the island, but they banish Sirena, Nixie and Lyla. The young mermaids know that to be able to rejoin their pod they must get legs, venture onto land, and take back Zac’s powers… or risk being outcasts forever.
