Korg Kross Tutorial | EPIC COMBI (Part 1) Planning Patches and MIDI Hardware

Part one begins our little journey to design and program a COMBI of epic proportions on the Korg Kross. In this series I will cover how to go about planning your sounds/patches, setting up a second board to be controlled via MIDI, designing splits across both boards, adding harmonic layers to your original sounds, accessing a hidden layer via external modulation, and some finishing touches to make this epic COMBI shine. In this video (part 1) I go over the steps involved to plan your sounds and overall layout of the COMBI, as well as the hardware steps needed to connect a second board. In the next video I will cover all the patches in the Kross and go over each split in detail. The example song I'll be using is Africa by Toto. #korgkross #combiprogramming #synthtutorial
