Queen’s Park is an area in North West London, straddling the City of Westminster and the London Borough of Brent. It’s known for its historic architecture, including original Victorian buildings. The heart of the neighborhood is a 30-acre park opened in 1887 and named in honor of Queen Victoria. The park is a fine example of a Victorian urban green space, surrounded by charming streets lined with two- and three-story Victorian houses. Located 4 miles northwest of Charing Cross, it’s a community-focused area with a unified urban layout and a high level of building preservation. We'll start our walk after grabbing a flat white from Dark & Light cafe and make our way down to the main business corridor of the neighborhood along Salisbury Road. It's early on a Monday and the neighborhood is bustling as folks are getting a start to their day.
