It is a bittersweet day in the Eyewitness News family, as we say farewell to our friend and colleague Tim Fleischer after a legendary 35-year run at Channel 7. He joined the Eyewitness News team in February of 1985, and his insightful reporting and unique storytelling led to a storied career as one of the longest-tenured reporters in the market and a mainstay on televisions throughout the Tri-State Area. Following a four-year run as anchor of "Eyewitness News This Morning" and a year of anchoring the weekend newscasts, Tim followed his heart back to the streets he loves. Since then, he's provided some of the best reporting of our area's biggest stories. We are sad, of course, and will miss him, but we are also happy for him and wish him well as he begins this new journey in his life.
