my 2022 RAM 2500 Power Wagon is already rusting after the first winter. This RAM truck is not even 4 months old. I give you 5 simple tips on how to avoid rust developing specifically on your ram 1500 and ram 2500 trucks. I hope everyone is having a great weekend! today I go under my power wagon to access the damage from this years winter. I live in Ontario and during the winter the roads are salted for 5 months and this results in a lot of trucks having rust issues. I got my ram 2500 oil sprayed a week after I bought to try and help with the spread of rust. but as you guys will see there was still a good amount of rust developing on the mechanical components which did not surprise me what did surprise me was the amount of rock chips in the front bumper already. this will cause rusting soon enough. So if you have a painted bumper try and get it protected before the salt hits the road the cab corners on these rams are notorious for getting rock chips and the rusting. best way to avoid this is to get a good set of mud flaps and that will protect those cab corners and rockers from rust between the bed and cab there are rubber guards. these can rub into your paint and cause rusting. not sure what they actually do but you should remove them if you find they are rubbing your paint. the worst one is on the bottom between the bed and the cab. after 3 months of driving this brand new 2022 ram power wagon its already rubbed through to metal. terrible always remove the spare tire in the winter. salt and crap will get trapped up there and will rot the under side of the box. also a good idea to take it down to set air flow under the box and dry out any moisture developing. anyways guys I hoped you liked the video!
