I started small because I did not want to encore so much loss since it was my first time. I started with 85 chicks and quite frankly I wish I knew better before started So far I have lost a number of chicken or hens due to my lack of knowledge of poultry. It's a lot of work depending on what type of chicken you are keeping. The food differs from the hens are one day to three weeks and every other thing.
