An 80 year old tortoise and others were loved and cared for, spanning decades, but with the owner’s health deteriorating, they needed to be rescued from a potentially bad future. She did the right thing before it was too late for them and this is a wake up call to anyone working with such long lived vertebrates because sometimes things don’t work out.
