However, Biplab's story is a testament that with hard work and dedication, anyone can overcome the odds and achieve their dreams. ‪@eSaral‬ Helped Him A Lot In His Journey. Biplab comes from a small village called Harachandrapur in the Nadia district of West Bengal. He had never heard of JEE until his 11th grade when one of his teachers mentioned it in passing. Despite his lack of knowledge about the exam, Biplab was determined to crack it and secure a spot in the prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT). Biplab's living conditions were far from ideal. He resided in a small house made of mud, which lacked proper roofing, and after it rained, water used to pour in. Moreover, he had to help his family with farming activities, which left him with little time to focus on his studies. Additionally, his family did not have a gas connection for cooking. The people around him discouraged him, saying that the exam was too difficult and required a lot of money to prepare for. They advised him to focus on state-level colleges instead. Even with these negative comments, Biplab refused to give up on his dream. He faced another obstacle as he had no internet connection until the first lockdown. But, after some time, he managed to get an internet connection in his mud hut. Biplab's resourcefulness led him to search for information about JEE, and he discovered that passing the exam required only 30-40%.
