A Huge Upgrade for a Budget Stingray // EMG MMHZ & BTS Preamp

The MMHZ is a direct replacement for the original Music Man bass pickup. This passive pickup features a ceramic and steel humbucker design for low noise and plenty of output. This bass pickup has the punch and fullness of a traditional passive with added top end for a more defined tone. The five pin connector allows multiple wiring combinations so you can get both dual-coil and single-coil tone with simple switching. Each pickup is fully shielded for a minimum of noise. The BTS Control is a 2-band equalizer for Bass guitar. The BTS features single-pole filters for broadband equalization. Often the broader single-pole filters are preferred for musical instruments because they are less selective, easier on the ear, and sound more “musical”. One of the features of the BTS Control is a 2-position dip-switch that controls the slope of the high frequency response. By choosing one of the four combinations the high frequency response can be tailored to your liking.
