Achieving BIG Goals - A Simple Plan

When it comes to doing big tasks, we tend to focus more on the destination rather than the journey i.e we tend to focus on the big goal rather than the things we need to get to that big goal. And this always causes anxiety. How to combat this and actually get these big tasks done and achieve big life goals? Let's discuss that. #lifegoals #bigtasks #productivity ♦️Why Pomodoro s*cks:    • Pomodoro s*cks(kinda) ....Here's a Be...   ♦️How we can "hack" motivation:    • Motivation Hacks: How We Can Train Ou...   📱BE MY FRIEND📱 📸 Instagram:   / doctor.doctor_a   🐦 Twitter:   / drajayramesh   ⚡️TIMESTAMPS: 00:00 Intro 00:49 What to do 01:15 How to do it 02:43 Be very specific 03:57 Define how it’s to be done 05:16 A few examples 07:38 What’s the point of all this? Big life goals always tend to cause a lot of anxiety because we tend to see it as one big task, and when the task is this big, the friction to start working on it is so high that we either don't start working on it or even doing a bit of work in that direction causes a lot of stress. How to overcome this? The trick is to simply 'focus on the journey'. I know it sounds stupid and cliche. But it's quite literally what you have to do. Plan out the journey properly and you can rest assured you'll reach your destination i.e the final goal. Break down the big task into monthly ➡ weekly ➡ daily tasks. Write these down somewhere in the form of a timeline so you can keep track of it. Make sure you add some buffer periods in between so that when unplanned things happen, it doesn't offset your plans too much. Be very specific about what you mean by the task when you set it. You might easily forget the context in which it was written in a few days, so make sure you set future you clear plans. Add notes on how you're going to do the task - this helps you avoid needing to think how you need to get that task done when it comes to the moment of doing it. But, don't overdo this, keep it simple. All of this gives clarity and mental peace and when there is clarity and mental peace, there is efficiency, and where there is efficiency there is progress and progress is what we're aiming for, right?
