Black Nasty Cichlid Care - Aggression

I feed all my large cichlids this gourmet mixture food. It’s 8 of the top brands all mixed together in one. Everyone says variation is key and this food is exactly that. Additional Fish Tank Talk: Setting up a 55 gallon fish tank tommarow. Im making a list of things im going to be needing/wanting to get for it. I wanted to know a FULL LIST of ONLY the most important chemicals and testing kit i will need to start up a healthy tank. Its been a minute since ive set a tank up and i want all the most used and important chemicals and test kit. Also id like to put 1 bigger fish in my 55 LATER ON and was wondering whats 1 big fish i can put in my 55 that will live in it alone happily. My tank contains 3 ropes, 10 emerald cory, 6 denison barbs, 2 african climbing perch, 12 african 3 stripe catfish, 2 sturisoma, 1 kribensis, 13 congo tetra. All get on fine. Avoid plecs and otocinclus as they can develop a taste for the ropes mucus membrane. Black nasty Cichlid aquarium care. Mine lives with a birchir, common Pleco, black ghost knife fish, electric blue acara, red hump cichlid, a geo ( not entirely sure which type) 2 tin foil barbs, Jack Dempsey, gouramis. Is a fx6, 2 aquaclear 110s, and 2 sponges too much water movement for a 125 housing American cichlids? I know there’s no such thing as too much filtration, but worried about the turnover rate and water movement being too much. I’m at a toss up between getting an fx4 or an fx6. Cory’s and kuhlis? Can they be kept together? I really had my heart set on keeping a small group of each in my 29 gal planted tank but I’ve read that the Cory’s can our compete the kuhlis for food and they don’t make a good pair together. Should I choose one? Or am I being over paranoid? Lol the tank has plenty of plants and hiding spots but I’m interested to see what you guys say. I have both in two of my tanks, I don't think I have a problem, they all seem to get on with each other and feed okay too. They get along just fine. I have black kuhli, banded kuhli, emerald cory and peppered cory in the same tank. Ive never heard of or had any problems keeping them together. Awesome, that’s what I had heard but then I seen someone talking about the Cory’s being to boisterous for the kuhlis, If I can keep both that’s what j would like to do. Pretty sure my kuhli has been picking off my neon tetras. From 20 tetras 2months ago, I only have 2 or 3 left. So frustrating, I hope it works out for you!
