Orchestral Excerpt Practice: Mendelssohn Scherzo *please read description*

This has been a long term project of mine, being able to play the solo from the Mendelssohn Scherzo under tempo and with the appropriate breathing. I'm proud of my accomplishment...it's not perfect, but it does the trick! This is a technique I've used in audition preparation, because for me, the worst part about this excerpt is making the breaths, along with beautiful phrasing. My standard tempo for this excerpt is dotted quarter = 88, and from there I decreased the tempo by 4 clicks each time. When I could play the excerpt at dotted quarter = 84, I would then drop the tempo to 80, etc. The tempo in this video is approximately dotted quarter = 74. Feedback is welcome!
