If you are interested in more content from me, my photography can be viewed on Instagram at:   / rail_spike_productions   About this video: With the retirement of MBTA’s single level cab cars well underway by April of 2024, the Hyundai Rotem CTC-5s (1800s series) began making their way to the North Side. One of the first several that did was unit 1811, which obtained a wrap specially designed for the Army-Navy football game trains which operated in December 2023. Blind trailer coach 846 has also obtained an identical wrap and remains in operation on the South Side. The clips in this video were taken during the 1811’s first few weeks on the Newburyport/Rockport line throughout April in the towns of Beverly, Hamilton, and Ipswich, MA.
