মালেশিয়ার পুত্রজায়া শহর || PutraJaya Mosque || Putra Mosque || Putrajaya City in Malaysia

Putrajaya officially the Federal Territory of Putrajaya is the administrative and judicial capital of Malaysia. The seat of the federal government of Malaysia was moved in 1999 from Kuala Lumpur to Putrajaya because of overcrowding and congestion in Kuala Lumpur, whilst the seat of the judiciary of Malaysia was later moved to Putrajaya in 2003. Kuala Lumpur remains as Malaysia's national capital city per the constitution and is still the seat of the head of state and the national legislature (Parliament of Malaysia), as well as being the country's commercial and financial centre. The Putra Mosque is the principal mosque of Putrajaya, Malaysia. Construction of the mosque began in 1997 and was completed two years later. It is located on Putra Square and is adjacent to man-made Putrajaya Lake. The pink-domed Putra Mosque is constructed with rose-tinted granite and consists of three main functional areas the prayer hall, the Sahn, or courtyard, and various learning facilities and function rooms. The mosque can accommodate 15,000 worshippers at any one time. On 25 June 1999, Prime Minister Mahathir Mohammad went to Putra Mosque for prayers. How to get there: Putra Mosque is situated next to the Perdana Putra, which houses the office complex of the Prime Minister of Malaysia, and facing the scenic Putrajaya Lake. If you are coming from Kuala Lumpur and using public transport, you can take the KLIA Transit train from KL Sentral to Putrajaya, and then take a taxi from the Putrajaya Sentral station.
