The Wade Tract in Thomas County, Georgia supports a legendary stand of old growth longleaf pine along with an incredibly diverse vegetative understory. Managers, biologists, and scientists from the Tall Timbers Research Station and Land Conservancy along with land management specialists from an adjacent plantation use prescribed fire to maintain and preserve the trees, plants, and animals in this fire dependent ecosystem. This movie is a compilation of time lapse animations captured during prescribed fire operations at the Wade Tract in 2014.
