Scarborough Fair violin playalong (beginner)

This song is a traditional English ballad about a set of impossible tasks. Fortunately learning to play this tune is not an impossible task with the help of this video showing sheet music and tab (sort of). You can use the YouTube settings to slow it down if you so desire. There was a popular recording of it done by Simon and Garfunkel in 1965, but the melody itself is a traditional tune that is a lot older - over 600 years. This arrangement uses some slurs and needs a bit of attention to bow speed - most of the long notes fall on down bows, meaning you'll have to use a faster, lighter upbow so that you don't run out of bow. Other than that the fingerings are fairly straightforward. The fifths can be either blocked or 'hopped' with the left fingers, as they are on separate bows. These videos take me quite a lot of time to make.
