It wasn't always the 'big stage' for Charley, he was homeless for many years and busking on the streets to survive, not to mention he also was a marijuana farmer who spent some time in Jail. Hailing from a small poor city in South Texas provided little opportunity, but Charley always had one constant in his life... and that was music. Even the music of Bill Withers, which when Charley found out that Bill had recorded his amazing debut album "Just As I Am" here at Sunset Sound, he knew he had to record there too.
