This was my first time visiting Kolkata, and I had such an incredible time exploring the City of Joy solo. I spent three days sightseeing in Kolkata and vlogged the whole experience for you. Since it was my first time here and I came quite unprepared, I wasn’t sure what all to see, but I managed to cover as much as I could in three days. I visited Princep Ghat, Park Street, Victoria Memorial, Kumortuli, took a metro ride, took a ride in the iconic yellow taxi of Kolkata, saw the tram, and went on an incredible walking tour through the culturally diverse neighbourhoods of Kolkata. I also tried some amazing food, the famous Bengali sweets (mishti doi and sandesh), a few cafes and restaurants around Park street and my favourite: puchkas! Also, in case you didn’t know, Kolkata (or Calcutta) was the capital of India during the British rule, and in Kolkata really felt like I had been transported back in time!
