Then and Now: the lift at Boots, Hereford

Clips filmed in 2018 and 2023. Firstly before I get into the description, I'd like to thank those who recommended me free online softwares for creating thumbnail images. I have used Google Drawings (recommended by Lift Excelsior) for my image for this video, let me know how you think it looks. Onto the video, the 2018 clip features the original goods lift which was at the time the only working lift in the store. It was traction, was mainly used by staff, however those in wheelchairs/or with buggies needed to ask a member of staff to take them there. We were with a disabled friend in a wheelchair, she wanted to go up which meant "time to film a gated lift!" I hadn't filmed a gated lift unil that day, and that particular one had the most epic sounding motor I'd ever heard! The buttons were replaced by Schindler, but you can't deny that the lift itself was awesome. It may have been an Evans, but no brand name was visible. It had since been replaced in 2019 by this very bright looking Mac Phuarsa (MP) MRL lift installed by Pickerings. How I knew it was MP and not Kleemann (I thought it may have been Kleemann because of the Schaefer buttons) was because it says MP in the tiniest writing by the bottom right corner of the indicator, and also the arrow inside the lift gave it away. The voice is interesting (sounds almost autotuned somehow) as were the announcements "doors are closing" and "this lift is moving up". In my opinion, this lift is quite characterful, and it doesn't run too badly, but I'd take the old lift over that. What do you think of those lifts?
