Best Coffee Substitutes – Decaf Coffee & Other Coffee Alternatives – Dr.Berg

Need a substitute for coffee? Here are the best coffee substitutes to try this week. Timestamps 0:00 The best coffee substitutes 0:13 What you need to know about decaf coffee 0:44 Teccino 1:05 Roma In this video, we’re going to talk about coffee substitutes. For those of you who want to cut back on caffeine because it triggers your adrenals or keeps you up at night, I want to give you some good substitutes. Keep in mind that decaf coffee reduces the caffeine by 97%, so there’s still 3% left, which may affect sensitive individuals. Decaf coffee also goes stale twice as fast. Also, you want to only use swiss water process decaf. Other methods add chemicals to the coffee that you don’t want in your body. You also want to stick to an organic decaf coffee if you do go decaf. Teeccino is an amazing coffee substitute that contains no caffeine. It tastes very similar to coffee. Teeccino contains chicory root, carob, barley, nuts, and cocoa. It only contains 4g of carbs and 1g of sugar per serving. Another great coffee substitute is roma. Roma is a combination of roasted malt, barley, chicory, and rye. It contains 2g of carbs and 1g of sugar. Both of these substitutes are great options if you want to cut out the caffeine.
