In the last few videos I have been messing around with cheap implement paint on my 1957 Chevy convertible. Any at home paint job will have its fair share of problems, dirt in the paint, poor lighting, fighting the weather ect. My original plan was to wet sand and buff the single stage paint to a nice shine. Well that was just going to be to much work! Instead I sanded down the entire car in 800 grit, wiped it down, borrowed a fancy paint gun from my old man and layed down a cheap coat of clear. 69 dollar 2 stage clear was the best option for me in this situation. It saved me a pile of time and I ended up with a perfect finish. Now roast me in the comments about top coating single stage paint with clear coat. So far it hasn't peeled off in sheets, so I'm calling it a win!
