Here we see some footage of the Ffestiniog Railway's Hunslet 125 gala on Saturday 23/06/2018. The gala featured an intensive passenger timetable, freight workings, many visiting Hunslet locos and shunting in Minffordd Yard including steam and diesel locomotives. I tried to get footage of all the locos which attended the event. Unfortunately one of the visitors, WD 1215, was unable to make it. Highlights in this video include: Taliesin departing Minffordd with a vintage train (00:46 in the video) Maid Marian and Irish Mail arrive into Minffordd (01:28) Irish Mail and FR no.2. Prince tnt Minffordd-Porthmadog shuttle at Minffordd (06:52) Margaret top and tailing with Lilla with open coaches (08:02) Moel y Gest shunting at Minffordd Yard (11:55) Gwynedd with a rake of slate wagons at Minffordd Yard (13:48) Gravity slate train arrives back at Minffordd (14:15) Cloister, Alice and George B arrive back at Minffordd (15:20) Trangkil no.4. and Lyd arrive into Porthmadog (19:06) Chaka's Kraal no.6. with a freight train at Porthmadog (19:38) and early arrival back at (20:56 in the video) Cloister and Britomart top and tailing with open coaches (24:01) Jerry M swapping places with Cloister at Minffordd (27:20) Lyd passes at Minffordd (28:20) Moelwyn start up at Minffordd Yard (29:39) Harold start up at Minffordd Yard (34:04) and unusual point changing. Linda and Blanche, celebrating their 125th 'birthday', finally arrive at Minffordd (38:00) Also featured are Double Fairlies Merddin Emrys and David Lloyd George, NGG16 no.138, Holy War, Velinheli, Winifred, Statfold, some live steam models of Linda and Blanche, 12 1/4 inch gauge Beddgelert from the Fairbourne Railway; Moel Hebog. Also seen at Minffordd are the re-gauged frames of the C2 which is under overhaul at 11:46 (in the video). Hope you enjoy.
