Construction of a Fused Glass Panel by Alice Benvie Gebhart

The title of this landscape is Harmony. The size: 11" x 11" and it is hung using a hidden stand-off system. The process of cutting and fitting the glass pieces together is shown although the thought process and sketches that led up to that step have not. I also didn't film the firing stages and layering that was done. Silver foil was encased in the glass and the finished piece has gold overglaze and a 3-D surface effect. Hope you enjoy this peek at the beginning stages. More to come.
