Update: I was getting very close to the end of my Amazon Return window when the headset started to play up. It had difficulty connecting to PC, eye tracking became intermittent and the latest firmware update completely messed up the sound quality. I decided it's probably for the best if it got returned rather than fault find over email with Pimax so I returned it. I have no idea where to go next. I liked it but spent more time fucking about with trying to get it running right than I did playing games with it. Next stop is Varjo Aero. Loving this headset. It's perfect for AMS2. Still trying to dial in settings. Currently running 3820x4324 in SteamVR with MSAA low and the rest of the settings on med/low. Sharpening is enabled in the JSON file which takes up a fair chunk of GPU processing. Trying to decide if sharpening and MSAA is better than more resolution and regular FXAA? If you have some nice settings which work could you let me know, please? I think the next step is seeing if ReShade works in VR on this game and then to make a preset which adds in some realistic lighting.
