But I figured, we already have a pure nonstop high-energy hype song about Ash and Greninja in XY&Z. So I figured I might as well take a completely different approach. When I started writing this song, I imagined being in that forest of snow in Snowbelle where Ash and Greninja finally perfected the Ash-Greninja form, which is how I came up with that opening riff. The rest is history. I still made sure to make this song plenty hype, integrating lyrics that reference Greninja's moves and the ocean and such.
