The Panther G is probably the least played Panther in War Thunder. I actually see less of these than the locked Panther II. A shame really, it's such an AMAZING tank! The Panther G is mixed bag of pros and cons. On one hand the mantlet offers good protection against shot traps but on the other it creates a larger weak spot on the turret face much more so than the Panther A and Panther D! In my own opinion it's a much worse design for War Thunder assuming we disregard its purpose in real life. The chassis as well feels like a direct downgrade over the Panther A. Its reverse speed feels much slower, acceleration is pretty poor in comparison and it also has a Cupola the size of Jupiter. This vehicle is almost completely superseded by the Panther A in every way in War Thunder but sits at a much higher Battle Rating. This just seems to be the way for German Tanks in War Thunder.
