How to Calibrate the Vivosun TDS & EC Meter

Do not believe the false information given by Vivosun. They do not have a clue. (Well they will now after they watch this.) After nearly 40 emails to Vivosun they still had no idea how to do this and could not provide me with the process. I found out by trial and error and watching videos from Asia of similar units and running language translation. I then used a process of trial and error before eventually stumbling on the process. At first Vivosun would not support me as I don't live in mainland Northern America. These meters do need regular calibration and they will not last 1 year between calibrations. Vivosun could not tell anyone what to do even after the randomly selected 1 year. These meters do not have a built in auto calibration capability as is now claimed by Vivosun. Absolute false claim. In theory you could calibrate these pens to a known TDS (ppm) solution by calibrating in EC mode to the value exactly double the TDS value. For example; a 342 ppm NaCl solution would be calibrated to 684 uS/cm or a 1000 ppm NaCl solution would be calibrated to 2000 uS/cm. (Note: this is based on the EC to TDS conversion factor of 0.5. Other conversion factors exist and I'm not sure if you could calibrate to other factors.)
