In this movie, I play my Poly-800II custom patches - no external effects or eq were used, all effetcs come from the Poly-800II. The Korg Poly-800 II (not to be confused with the original Poly-800) is an interesting polyphonic analog synthesizer with built in digital delay. The basic sound of the Poly-800 MK 2 is slightly different to the original Poly-800 MK 1. Are these patches still available? ANSWER: Yes! QUESTION: What do I need to load these patches into my synth? ANSWER: You need a jack cable, a computer or smartphone to play the wav file and your synth. You don't need a tape recorder. QUESTION: How does the patch loading process work? ANSWER: Included in the sale is a PDF with easy to follow instructions. QUESTION: Do you have the patch bank as sysex file? ANSWER: No, just as wav file for the Poly-800II's tape interface. QUESTION: My synth is modded/expanded - can I load this bank? ANSWER: These patches were created on the original model. The best way to find out is to ask the developer if his mod is compatible with the original, if so then yes. QUESTION: Can I load this patch bank into my POLY-800 (I) or EX-800? ANSWER: No! The Poly-800 MK1 and MK2 are not compatible at all. They have a completely different data format.
