We sail with four vessels operated by three ferry companies to both Calais and Dunkirk, looking in particular at: -What is the check-in and boarding like in Dover and in Calais? -Which ferry company has the best ships overall? -What is Club Class like on Irish Ferries - and is P&O Club Class worth it? -What is the Premium Lounge like on DFDS - both on a Dunkerque ferry and on a Calais Ferry? -Which ferry operator is the best for hot food - and which has the WORST food offering? -Who has the best Duty-Free Shopping, and who is the cheapest? -How does my dog travel on the ferry? As an ex-seafarer myself I’ll also talk a little about where each ship is registered. We’ll also look at the price I paid, and how to book. We start off travelling with DFDS (UK) from Dover to Dunkirk / Dunkerque aboard the Dunkerque Seaways. For our next voyage we travel with DFDS (FR) from Calais to Dover aboard the Côte d'Opale. Next day we travel with Irish Ferries aboard the Isle of Inishmore from Dover to Calais.
