India Bhutan Border at Rangamati in Central Dooars is the last point on Indian territory in the central Dooars region of North Bengal before entering Bhutan. The word "dooars" means 'doors' or gateways, There are 18 passages or gateways between the hills in Bhutan and the plains in India.This region is called the Dooars Region, and it spreads over an area of 880 km2 (340 sq mi) in North Bengal and Assam.
