Don Patterson Animation #2

(Note: This is a sequel to ibcf's Don Patterson reel) (Another note: This is a reupload) Don Patterson (December 26, 1909 - December 12, 1998) was an American animator who worked at many studios in his long animation tenure, starting with Screen Gems, then working at the Lantz studio until 1935, when Don went over to Disney where he worked until 1946, animating on some of Disney's feature films such as Dumbo, Fantasia, and The Three Caballeros. Don moved over to MGM in 1946 where he animated on a few Barney Bear and Tom and Jerry shorts, meaning him and his brother Ray were reunited. Don returned to Lantz in 1951, where he became a director on the Woody Woodpecker cartoons until 1954, where he stepped down to animate until 1960, and from there Don went to Hanna-Barbera, and he worked there until 1981. Don's work is very smooth and has a rubbery feel to it, which makes him stand out from other animators. His work would become more limited at Walter Lantz by the late-1950s, but still managed to pull off smooth animation in some places. Don could draw some hilarious expressions, and this helps make him one of the funniest Hanna-Barbera animators. Special thanks to Nex, bonkers, RareSox, Devon Baxter, and Austin Kelly! More special thanks to TehAverageDope for correcting a mistake from the previous upload! Feel free to point out any mistakes in this reel! Music: "Shootin n' Lootin" and "Carnival Kerfuffle" by Kristofer Maddigan
