Fork seals seem to be an all or nothing component. They don't just kind of go bad, or sort of wear out. They are either good or bad. Fortunately they can be changed with minimal cost, and by the do it yourselfer with moderate skills. The entire project can be done in a weekend if you have everything needed. Usually it consists of new seals (oil and dust), new crush washers, and the right tools (including a torque wrench, and an impact wrench). You will need new fork oil and some thread locker as well.
