Aurelia Rivarola is a children neuropsychiatrist. After graduating in Medicine and Surgery and specializing in Public Health and Child Neuropsychiatry at the University of Milan, in 1983 is the founder of the International Society for Augmentative and Alternative Communication at Michigan State University. Since 1994 she is in charge of the Center’s Alternative Augmentative Communication division, where she conducts clinical evaluation and intervention for communication disorders from congenital and acquired neurological conditions. She is in charge of the Scuola di Formazione in Comunicazione Aumentativa Alternativa at the Benedetta D’Intino Foundation.
