How to Make a Mandala Hawaiian Tiki DIY Timelapse

For this project you will need: Paper 8x10, 11x14 or larger depending on how large a mandala you want to make. Scissors, a protractor, a compass or something circlular, Black permanent felt tip pen, coloring tools: Prismacolors, map or colored pencils, or markers. I printed my protractor from Daisypaper.com. Fold your paper in half twice to find the center point. Then with your compass or something circular, a lid or plate etc, draw a circle on your paper. Decide how many pie shapes you want, either 4, 6 or 8. If you want 6 pie shapes, use your protractor to mark 60 degrees all the way around and you will have divided your circle into 6 pieces. Each piece can be used as a design template for 6 different mandalas. On a fresh clean sheet of paper, find the center point using the center of the previous paper. Using pencil lightly draw the center line and horizontal lines. Use your pie piece to lightly mark the edges of the pie piece all the way around the circle. Use these guide marks when lining up your pie piece when you are tracing it. Once your design is drawn onto one side of the pie piece, you can either gray out the back side and use that as your transfer and trace the top of the design onto your paper or place your pie piece face down and trace it from the back onto your paper. Once you have completed your circle with your design, ink it with a permanent felt tip pen, then erase the pencil. Now you can color your design using your prefered art supplies or leave it blank. You can use colored pencils, markers or crayons. It's up to you.
