This brought me to a realization, a validation of my decision to call Thailand home. It highlighted ten aspects that I truly missed about my adopted country, things that make it special and superior, in my eyes, to the U.S. 1. Amid the chaos of any downtown American city, I reminisced about the calm, polite, and faith-driven culture in Bangkok. While there's still a lot to appreciate about the U.S., my time in Thailand has taught me that there's more than one way to lead a fulfilling life. It's time we rethink our priorities and maybe, just maybe, incorporate a bit more of the Thai way of living.
