Final Reveal: Abandoned Winter Panzer III Ausf.J

I did things a little differently this time and took some progress photos during the build so I put those in as the second half of this video to give you an idea of my progression in finishing this kit. Welcome to the final reveal of my first entry in the Panzer III "Barkas Build" buddy build celebrating how insanely awesome Mr. Hamilkar Barkas is :) I linked the videos I did explaining many aspects of the weathering of this Panzer III as cards in the upper right of the screen. Hope you enjoy! The kit is Dragon's Panzer III Ausf.J with the winterketten from Dragon's Late Production StuG Ausf.F/8 (Thanks to Adam Mann). Painted with Tamiya Acrylics and whitewashed with AK Interactive's washable white paint product. Weathering was done with numerous Wilder oil paints, pigments, and acrylic mud and snow products, as well as with some artist's oil paints and Tamiya Acrylics for the chipping. The snow effects on the base are a mix of Sculptamold and Wilder's beautiful Textured Snow (also used on the tank) which was applied over the top of the Sculptamold to achieve a nice texture. Dirt was done with the same Wilder pigments as the tank, and the dead bushes are dried roots from my backyard. All of this was on top of a cheap picture frame from Michael's. Very happy with how it came out in the end. And yes, there's a lot of snow on one side as it's been blown over by the wind for a couple of days or so...I was inspired by some cool photos of that in Russia in 1943-44. There is no reason for me to promote a bad product, as then I would not enjoy using it, not like the result on my model, and not be proud of publicizing it in a video. There's also no point in me doing this to keep up relations with a company if the only benefit would be getting more of the same products that I didn't like. I have not used every product out there, but from what I have used, I keep using the products I like, and that's why I use them in my videos. You can use whatever other products you would like to and you can feel that they are better - that is your opinion, and is perfectly fine by me, thus I hope that feeling is reciprocated.
